Field Trip: The Market at Grelen - Orange, VA

I recently visited my friends Leslie and Dan at their Market and Nursery in Orange, VA.
I was greeted by this beautifully crafted pergola full of fall blooms!
The slate terrace and stone wall (built by the expert craftsmen of Grelen Nursery) surrounding the Market provide wonderful place to relax and enjoy the scenery.
Grelen's 600 acres of property are meticulously planted with trees and shrubs.  They sell to wholesale and retail customers.  What fun to walk the fields and select just the tree that will shade your very own yard.
The Market and Nursery host events weekly... from workshops to live music to nature walks.
Check out their calendar for something that interests you!
Outside the Market you can select pots, plants and garden decor.
Inside you will find a wide variety of gifts, home accessories, garden tools and clothing.

You will also find a lovely little cafe.  Grelen has it's very own chef who makes delicious farm-to-table creations... soups, pastries, salads, sandwiches & Grelen's famous ice cream! (Made from berries, fruit and honey harvested right on the property!)
The Market at Grelen and Grelen Nursery are just a rolling hill away from James Madison's historic Montpelier and Barboursville Vineyards.
Grelen Farm makes for an outstanding day trip with or without the kids!
